Day 1

  • Start: Grand Avenue Promenade

    The cultural acropolis to downtown Los Angeles, the Grand Avenue promenade is a new pedestrian spine for the city's glittering cultural life.

  • Stop 2: Chinatown

    Directions:

    Travel the Byway (Highway 110) north to Interstate 10. Take Interstate 10 east for about one half of a mile.

    The Los Angeles Chinese community moved to its current location during the 1930s, when their original neighborhood became the site of Union Station. Chinatown houses several excellent restaurants, ethnic markets, import shops and unique Asian services.

  • Stop 3: Dodger Stadium

    Directions:

    Take Interstate 10 west a half mile to the Byway (Highway 110). Turn north (right) onto Highway 110 about 1 mile to the stadium.

    An integral part of the culture of the Arroyo, Dodger Stadium is an icon of America's favorite pasttime. Take in an afternoon ball game with the family, or just take a look around the stadium which has become such an important icon to Los Angelos.

  • Stop 4: Elysian Park

    Directions:

    Drive north on the Byway (Highway 110) for about one mile.

    Elysian Park is the oldest public park in the city of Los Angeles. The Park provides scenic vistas, numerous hiking trails and picnic grounds, as well as being the home of Dodger Stadium, where the Los Angeles baseball team plays.

  • End: Old Town Pasadena

    Take the Byway (Highway 110) north about 5 miles.

    Old Town is the historic core of Pasadena. Founded in 1876 as the Indiana Colony by Midwestern pioneers, Pasadena quickly became a sparkling jewel of culture and sophistication in Southern California. You will want to spend most of a day here.
