This industrial parcel was originally part of the el pueblo agricultural lands. Even after it became railroad property, its agricultural underpinnings manifested with annual sprouting of corn between the tracks. Recently purchased by the State of California for new parklands, it showcases part of the Zanja Madre between the Los Angeles River and El Pueblo.
