Whipple Company Store, WV
Long associated with the New River Company, the Whipple Company Store was built c. 1900 and was one of four identical stores in the region; the other three no longer remain. The architecture of the Whipple Company Store is like no other with a high stone foundation setting the framework for first and second stories of a different shapes. A museum offers glimpses into an earlier time.
