Canyon Rim Visitor Center, WV

The Canyon Rim Visitor Center houses interpretive exhibits that make connections between the natural, the New River area, and the cultural/historical, the region's mining communities. In the coal mining industry there are several classifications of communities: places owners lived, places where business was transacted, and places where vast numbers of people lived and worked to make the industry possible. This Visitor Center depicts the latter.
