Special Considerations
Reservations recommended at least six months in advance. Call 303-297-2757 or the ranger's desk 520-638-7864.
Road between Jacob Lake and the North Rim is open from May to November. For opening and closing dates, call the forest service at 520-635-2681.
Lodging at the top of the North Rim is limited, and even the campgrounds require reservations. The Kaibab Lodge is about five miles before you reach the park entrance, Jacob Lake Inn is at the beginning of the byway.
Restrictions
Due to the severe winter storms on the North Rim, the lodge is closed during the winter and the roads are impassable.

High SeasonSummer brings many visitors to this less-crowded Grand Canyon lodge.
Off Season
The lodge is closed in the winter due to severe weather.
