Bald Eagle Viewing Center, NE

Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District's viewing facility is located below Kingsley Dam/Lake McConaughy. The center is open for eagle-viewing from late December to early March. Lake McConaughy also provides the opportunity for year-round bird watching. The variety of habitat at the reservoir and the surrounding environs attracts one of the largest and most diverse bird populations documented in the United States.
