North Shore Scenic Drive
Iona's Beach Scenic and Natural Area, MN

Named for a previous owner, Iona Lind, this beach on the North Shore is unique in it's geological make-up. The red cliffs and large round rocks that visitors will observe are composed of pink rhyolite. Rumor has it that true locals of the area come to Iona's beach to skip the smooth flat stones across the waters of Lake Superior.
