Visitors will find several places to camp along the North Shore. Among the most popular are:

• Gooseberry Falls State Park
• Split Rock Lighthouse State Park
• Tettegouche State Park near Little Marais
• Temperance River State Park near Pike Lake
• Cascade River State Park at Kimball Lake
• Judge C.R. Magney State Park

There are several other campgrounds near the byway where visitors will be able to find a place for tents and RVs.
