Driving the Byway

The road itself:
From Miami, travel US Route 60 through the Tonto National Forest; it ends a little past the Picket Post Mountain.
How to get to the road:
From Phoenix, take US Route 60 heading east. Then turn north on State Route 88, the Apache Trail Historic Road. Then turn east when it meets the bisecting State Route 88. Then turn south on US Route 60, which will take you to Miami and the scenic road.
