Driving the Byway

The route itself:

U.S. Route 180 from the San Francisco Mountains heading toward the town of Valle. The route passes through the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests.

How to get to the road:

From Flagstaff travel north on U.S. Route 180, the scenic route itself does not start until a little past the San Francisco Mountains, near the Hart Prairie. A sign will appear along the portion of road designated as scenic.
