Special Considerations
Limited parking is available off Route 201.
Please use the ferry system provided to cross the Kennebec River. Fording the river is very dangerous because the water level rises quickly when the hydroelectric dam upstream releases water.
Restrictions
Overnight visitors should plan ahead--shelter availability is limited.
