Visitor information centers can be found at the following locations:
- Haines Ferry Terminal: Hours are based on arrivals and departures of state ferry. The facility offers area information, and interpretive panels are found inside the terminal.
- Haines Visitor Center: Open Monday - Friday, 8 - 5; weekends in summer. The center offers area information with maps and access to road and weather conditions and border crossing information.
- Dalton Cache-US Customs/Border Office: Open 24/7 year-round. This facility offers some area information and maps. Road and weather conditions are usually available via agents.
The Haines Visitor Center currently has a Japanese language version of the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve brochure. Language tools on the Visitor Center website translate pages of the site and all pages linked to the site in nine languages. A list of local translators for several languages is available via the Visitor Center.
