Alaska's Marine Highway
Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities

All ferries accommodate bicycles and walk-on travelers. All vehicles must be parked on the car deck. Access to the deck is prohibited while under way except for escorted trips, periodically announced by the purser, between Bellingham and Ketchikan and on cross-gulf trips. You also have access to your vehicle while the vessel is in port.

Bicycles, kayaks and very small boats (inflatables under 100 pounds) will be charged at the "Alternate Means of Conveyance" rate. If the boat exceeds 100 pounds, it will be charged at the "Vehicles to 10 feet" rate. Larger boats must be on a trailer and will be charged the appropriate amount by length. AMCs are limited to one per customer and are not allowed to be shipped unaccompanied.
