    Fort Raleigh NHS is on Roanoke Island, and is located off US 64-264, three miles north of Manteo, NC. The site is 2 miles southeast of Norfolk, VA and 197 miles east of Raleigh, NC.

    Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge supports a large variety of wildlife. More than 200 species of birds, over 40 species of mammals, and over 40 species of reptiles and amphibians use the refuge habitats.

    Located six miles south of Columbia, NC off Highway 94 on the east.
