Driving the Byway

Getting to the Byway

From Raleigh:

• Take U.S. 1 going southwest.
• Exit onto U.S. 64 going west.
• Stop in Pittsboro where the byway begins.

Driving the Byway

• The byway begins in Pittsboro. From the Pittsboro Courthouse, follow U.S. 64 west.
• Turn left at the traffic light onto N.C. 902.
• Continue on N.C. 902 until you reach N.C. 22.
• When you cross N.C. 22, N.C. 902 will become S.R. 1164 (Jerry Frye Road).
• Turn left on S.R. 2877 (Howard Mill Road)and continue for two miles.
• The road number changes to S.R. 1456.
• Three miles later, there is a junction with N.C. 705. The byway ends here.
