The Uwharrie Trail is the longest hiking trail east of the North Carolina mountains. The trail provides a beautiful walk through the Uwharrie National Forest where hikers will see ridges, streams, and rocky summits. Hikers may also find old abandoned houses, cemeteries, and gold mines along the trail.
