Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center, NC

Decoy carvers, boat builders, model boat builders and other artisans make Down East a celebrated place. At the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center, Down East communities maintain their own exhibits. The museum preserves community history and documents folk art and living traditions. Each month’s third Tuesday is "community night" when residents continue to gather memories and enjoy a traditional covered dish supper.
