Cape Lookout National Seashore Harkers Island Visitor Center, NC

Explore this national seashore with an introductory 26-minute film and exhibits on the seashore’s wild horses, historic villages, Cape Lookout lighthouse, barrier island ecology, and natural resources. A kid’s corner provides a touch table with shells, bones and other beach finds as well as a Sounds of the Seashore game. Park staffers or volunteers are available to answer questions. The visitor center is connected to the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center through the Soundside Loop and Willow Pond Loop trails.
