Visitor facilities generally provide universal access. Cape Lookout Harkers Island center is accessible. Consult the Cape Lookout website for full details. Two nature trails in Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge offer universal access via boardwalks, (each half a mile long). Two nature trails at the end of Harkers Island are partially accessible via boardwalks. Cape Hatteras NS offers “handicapped accessible” programs as noted on its events schedule.
