Outer Banks Scenic Byway
Information

There are several places along the byway that provide visitor information, comfort, and staff. As of 2009:

• Whalebone Junction is open daily, 9 am-5 pm, Mar.-Dec.
• Pea Island is open 9 am-4 pm daily in summer, Thurs.-Sun. (closed 12/25) in the off-season, and offers exhibits and a gift shop.
• Ocracoke is open 9 am-6 pm in summer, 9 am-5 pm from Sept-May (closed 12/25), and offers exhibits and a gift shop.
• Hatteras is open 9 am-5 pm Mar.-Nov. and offers exhibits.
• Cape Lookout is open 9 am-5 pm (closed 12/25 & 1/1) and offers exhibits and a gift shop.
