  Journey through time to the head of the Mississippi River as you travel the Lady Slipper Scenic Byway through Chippewa National Forest. Close forests of pine, aspen, are interspersed with large, open vistas of the wetlands, lakes, and river systems, the same scenery seen for thousands of years by the ancient inhabitants of North America.
