Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site, IL

This site is the 1840s' farm of Thomas and Sarah Bush Lincoln, parents of our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. Here you can see daily domestic and farming activities come alive on this "living historical farm." You may also visit the nearby Stephen Sargent farm, a second 1840s' farmstead that has been moved to the site to contrast the Sargent's "progressive" farming with the Lincoln's "traditional" farming lifestyle.
