Special Considerations

Monroe Street is a curbed five-lane highway with parking on one side. Pedestrian access is provided by sidewalks on both sides of the street for the entire route. The immediate downtown area has been "streetscaped" to make the street more pedestrian friendly.

The grades in this area are generally flat and the sidewalks have been ramped through the intersections making this route entirely accessible to the disabled.

Restrictions

Monroe Street is an all season route and is not subject to seasonal closures.
