Victorian House and Museum, OH

The Victorian House and Museum consists of 28 antique-filled rooms of Victorian splendor. Built in 1900 by the Brightmans for their family of eight children, the mansion has been restored in its entirety and is on the registry of National Historic Places.

The beautiful period furnishings create an elegant atmosphere which earned the home a feature in the Victorian Homes magazine. The house is complete with many detailed and imported features such as an elegant staircase, a hand-painted parlor ceiling, and fireplace tiles imported from England. There are many special interest rooms, including turn-of-the-century law and medical offices, a child's room filled with antique toys, a room complete with Civil War artifacts, a sewing room containing Victorian dresses, and a room displaying a wide array of early musical instruments.
