Special Considerations

The Lift Bridge is used by travelers and residents of the Copper Country year-round. The lower deck is used by snowmobile traffic in the winter, but is utilized at street level for vehicle traffic to allow free passage of small water craft in the summer. Larger vessels will require the bridge to be raised; however, this is rare and will only delay traffic for five to ten minutes.
