Restrictions

US 41 is extremely well maintained. Even during the heaviest snowfalls, the road is seldom closed for more than a few hours.

However, Brockway Mountain Drive, a spur of the Copper Country Trail, is not plowed during the winter months. This 9.5 mile drive is accessible by cross-country skis or snowmobile during this time.

Seasons

Best Time to Drive

Fall adds rich color to the traveler's experience, bringing a surreal feel to the historic landscape.

High Season

Travelers to the CCT will find that they leave crowds and heavy traffic behind when they come for a visit. Summer and fall seasons are most popular.
