West Cascades Scenic Byway
Oakridge, OR

Established as "Oakridge" in 1912, this town features the state's largest fish hatchery, historic Greenwaters Park, and the Middle Fork Ranger Station of the Willamette National Forest. With a population of just over 3,000 people, Oakridge was known earlier as "that jewel of a city, in the mountains." Willamette Pass Ski Area is located east of this full-service community, on Highway 58.
