Turtle Mountain Scenic Byway
Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities

North Dakota Highway 43 and Rolette County Highway 43 both accommodate bicycles and pedestrians, and they are required to follow traffic laws. A separate hiking, biking, and equestrian trail was recently constructed parallel to the Turtle Mountain Scenic Byway from the intersection of Rolette County Highway 6 and North Dakota Highway 30 North for 4 miles through St. John to the intersection of Rolette County Highway 43. There is a long-range plan to expand this trail system which will allow non-motorized trails in the Turtle Mountains along or within the corridor of the entire byway.
