    Special Considerations

A gap with no services available for the traveler exists between Hyannis in Grant County and Alliance in Box Butte County. This distance is 57 miles. All services are available in both Hyannis and Alliance.

The highway is rarely closed due to weather conditions; however, a sudden winter snowstorm could impact travel. Current road condition information may be accessed by dialing 511. In the event of severe weather there are many locations where travelers could seek shelter.

Population along the byway is sparse, with light traffic; a traffic jam on this byway means someone is herding cattle from one pasture to another.

    Restrictions

There are no restrictions for legal highway vehicles along the byway.
