mong the rolling hills and peaceful Nebraska countryside, 2nd Wind Ranch hosts over 30 standing windmills--the largest collection in the world. Situated on a 40-acre pasture, these windmills range in size from 6 ft. in diameter to 20 ft., and from the latest models to those over a hundred years old. Windmills were an important aspect of settlers who migrated to the area. They provided much needed water and made it possible that the area could thrive. Today, the 2nd Wind Ranch is an area dedicated to those windmills. The 2nd Wind Ranch is also home to the Comstock Windmill Festival, which is a summer music festival.
