  • American West Heritage Center

    American West Heritage Center (UT)

    Discover 100 years of the history of the American West at this 160-acre living history center. The Festival of the American West is held at this site every summer.

    Directions:

    From Logan, drive about 7 miles south on Highway 89 to the Heritage Center. It is on the west side of the road at 4025 S Highway 89-91 in Wellsville.

  • Bear Lake

    Bear Lake (UT)

    This turquoise-colored lake is often referred to as the "Caribbean of the Rockies." It is nearly 20 miles long, 8 miles wide, and reaches a depth of 208 feet.

  • Bear Lake Overlook and Visitor Center

    Bear Lake Overlook and Visitor Center (UT)

    The Bear Lake Overlook and Visitor Center offers visitors the first bird's-eye view of Bear lake, as well as a visitor center, restrooms, huge parking area, and more.

    Location:

    31.6 miles from the Ranger Station at the mouth of Logan Canyon (Hwy. 89); 5 miles before you reach Bear Lake.

  • Bear Lake Recreation Area and Marina

    Bear Lake Recreation Area and Marina (UT)

    This is the northernmost of the three Utah State Park recreation areas on Bear Lake.

    Location:

    37 miles from the Ranger Station at the mouth of Logan Canyon (Hwy. 89); just east of Garden City.

  • Bear Lake Summit

    Bear Lake Summit (UT)

    The elevation here is 7,800 feet above sea level. The Sinks Road to the right is a Utah Scenic Backway. It provides access to Hardware Ranch in the summer and is a groomed snowmobile trail in the winter.

    30.2 miles from the Ranger Station at the mouth of Logan Canyon (Hwy. 89); 7 miles from Garden City.

  • Beaver Creek Lodge

    Beaver Creek Lodge (UT)

    Overnight accommodations are available year-round at this lodge in the Beaver Creek Basin. During the summer, guided horseback rides are available nearby; during the winter, snowmobiles and gear can be rented from the lodge.

    26 miles from the Ranger Station at the mouth of Logan Canyon (Hwy. 89), about 1/2 mile after Beaver Junction. 13 miles from Garden City (following the Byway in the other direction). 11808 N Highway 89, Logan, UT

  • Beaver Junction

    Beaver Junction (UT)

    This marks the turn-off to Beaver Mountain Ski Resort and snowmobile parking. The Beaver Creek Basin provides a snowy playground for many winter sports enthusiasts.

    Location:

    About 30 minutes from Logan; 25.6 miles from the Ranger Station at the mouth of Logan Canyon (Hwy. 89). Before Beaver Creek Lodge. Turn left.

  • Beaver Mountain Ski Resort

    Beaver Mountain Ski Resort (UT)

    Ski the famous Utah powder at this family-owned resort, with five lifts and numerous runs from beginner to expert. During the summer, the lodge is available for rent with RV hook-up sites.

    Travel time: 1 minute
    Directions:

    Turn north from the Byway onto SR-243, at the Beaver Junction. Travel one mile to the ski resort. Beaver Mountain Ski Area is on the North side of the canyon, about fifteen miles west of Garden City.

  • Blind Hollow Trail

    Blind Hollow Trail (UT)

    This trail is four miles long and leads to the main ridge of the Bear River Mountains.

    Location:

    About 14.7 miles from the Ranger Station at the mouth of Logan Canyon (Hwy. 89), about 20 minutes from Logan; park on the right and cross the highway to the trailhead.

  • Bridger Campground

    Bridger Campground (UT)

    This is a nice, shaded and grassy lower campground with 10 units.

    Location:

    About 3.5 miles from the Ranger Station at the mouth of Logan Canyon (Hwy 89).
