Accessibility Parking is paved. The trail to the Wind Caves is steep in places and rocky in others. It is not suitable for wheelchairs. Hikers experience switchbacks and streams of runoff in the spring. |

Special Considerations
Hikes are suggested for early morning in the summer, since the southern exposure and lack of shade makes the trail quite hot in the afternoon. This is a very steep trail, with elevation changing from 5100' to 6000'.
Please do not cut the switchbacks on this popular trail.
