Brigham City is a quaint town in the shadow of the Wellsville Mountains. It's a diverse town: it borders the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, is a hub of industry, and is where the east and west lines of the transcontinental railroad initially met.
Distance from byway: 23 mi / 37.0 km Travel time: 23 minutes Directions: Head north on Washington Blvd/Highway 89, merge onto I-15, take exit 364. Turn left on Main Street.

This park at the mouth of Ogden Canyon is a popular family outing. It celebrates the dinosaurs with life-size models and interpretive centers.

Popular for walkers, joggers, in-line skaters and bicycle riders, the Ogden River Parkway is a three mile paved trail through the heart of Ogden.

Powder Mountain Ski Resort (UT)
A favorite for locals, Powder Mountain has just the right amount of development. Regularly posting the highest amount of snow in the state, the resort has an unbelievable range of terrain and pristine, all-natural snow.
Distance from byway: On the byway Directions: At pineview dam, take a left on 162 and cross the causeway. Follow road signs to 158. Main Lodge is the second one up.

Snowbasin: A Sun Valley Resort (UT)
One of the world's premier ski resorts, Snowbasin, Sun Valley's sister resort, is nestled in the glistening snowfields above Ogden, Utah. Six 2002 Winter Olympic events called Snowbasin home.
Distance from byway: 7 mi / 11.3 km Directions: At State Road 167 go right (south) 4 miles to 222 and then left (west) 3 miles to Snowbasin.
