Many opportunities for fun exist in Orem. The city is located to the north of Provo, bordered on the east by the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains, and on the west by Utah's largest freshwater lake, Utah Lake. Orem is close to over six national ski resorts, many National Forest campgrounds, and challenging rock climbing canyons.

Opportunities for recreation and relaxation exist in plenty through theaters, restaurants, and hotels. The environment at Orem includes four seasons and seasonal activities abound here. These include biking, camping, and hiking. Often times there are events such as concerts and festivals that are fun to attend.
