Provo Canyon Scenic Byway
Cascade Springs, UT

Clear, cool water cascades down the mountain over limestone terraces. These terraces are travertine stone terraces and were created from the water's deposits over time. Boardwalks and paths have been created around the pools, which allow a close look at the crystal water, lush vegetation, and Trout flitting by in the shadows. The plant life includes wildflowers, aspen, and oak among sundry others. The area is very charming, and the drive to the springs is also very pretty.

Cascade Springs is not located on the byway, however. Coming from Provo on the byway, it can be reached by turning left on Highway 92 before Deer Creek, then turning right on Forest Road 114 (between mileposts 18 and 19). The road winds approximately seven miles from there.
