Visit Blackhawk Campground, which is named after a Ute Indian leader who led his band and others into war in 1865. Here, you'll find one of the best views of Mt. Nebo.
Location: 16 miles southeast on Nebo Loop Road.

Community Bible Church is part of Payson's historic downtown district that you don't want miss along your way. The church grounds flourish in bright colors during spring and summer months.
Location: 160 South Main Street, Payson.

Carved into the Wasatch Mountains, the Devil's Kitchen is a tiny replica of Bryce Canyon. Be sure to stop here and look around; it is one of the most popular, photogenic destinations on the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway.
Location: Between the Nebo Overlook and the Salt Creek Overlook about a mile off the Byway.

Built in 1893 for Payson's mayor and wealthy livestocker, John Dixon, the historic John Dixon Home is the oldest home in the area of the Nebo Stake Tabernacle. A red sandstone home, it stands out against the rest of the buildings in Payson.
Location: 218 North Main, Payson.

Standing at a height of 11,929 feet, this is the tallest peak on the Wasatch Front, and it is the source of the byway's name. During all seasons, the rolling ridges of Mt. Nebo provide photographic opportunities.
Location: Just a few miles east of I-15 at Mona, in the Mt. Nebo Wilderness Area.

The byway passes through the Uinta National Forest and Mt. Nebo Wilderness Area, both of which have many developed and undeveloped camping facilities. Camping is one of the most popular activities to enjoy when traveling Nebo Loop Scenic Byway.

Mt. Nebo Loop Scenic Overlooks (UT)
Overlooks and pullouts offer beautiful views of the area's magnificent scenery, so bring a camera when you drive Nebo Loop Scenic Byway. Several of the overlooks and pullouts have interpretive signs telling stories or natural history about the region.
Location: Along the Byway in the Uinta National Forest

The Mt. Nebo Wilderness Area is a great place to spend an afternoon. Take a break and hike or horseback ride. You may access a small trailhead that leads into the Wilderness Area located 100 yards from Nebo Loop Scenic Byway.
Location: A few miles east of I-15 and the Mona Reservoir; west of the Uinta National Forest

The small, homey town of Nephi sits at the foot of Mt. Nebo, just a few miles west of Nebo Loop Scenic Byway. It is also the county seat of Juab County.
Distance from byway: 5 mi / 8.0 km Travel time: 8 minutes Directions: From the junction of FR 015, go west on SR-132 past I-15.

The Nephi Museum showcases many historical objects, and the Salt Creek Fort, which dates from 1850, is partly preserved here. A replica and pictures of the fort are also in the museum.
Distance from byway: On the byway Directions: From the southern terminus of the Byway, travel west on Highway 132 to Nephi. The museum is at 432 N 100 E in Nephi.
