Upper Colorado River Scenic Byway (U-128)
Big Bend Recreation Site, UT
The shaded, riverside area has 22 campsites, three group camping areas with handicapped access, and a small sandy beach. The Colorado River flows past with dangerous turbulence and undertows. Short, shaded, paved walks lead to sandy beaches and benches where campers can watch white water rafting enthusiasts rush by. The river makes a wonderful sight, and should be enjoyed from the shore. Swimming is extremely dangerous because of notoriously strong currents and undertows.
