Potash-Lower Colorado River Scenic Byway (U-279)
Visitor Services

All services are available in Moab, just 2 miles from the start of the byway (across the river.)

JayCee Park is the one shaded, serviced picnic area with water and restrooms for day use. Popular GoldBar Campground allows overnight camping (for a fee), is also serviced, has latrines but no water, and it is not shaded. Camping is allowed along the river, if campers follow FS/BLM restrictions on waste disposal and fires.

Potash has few services, and is accessible only by a bumpy gravel road.

There is a boat launch at the end of the road.
