Much of this route runs between sheer cliffs on one side and a river on the other. Although there is ample room for cars and RVs and the road is sparsely traveled, there are no biking or hiking lanes, the shoulders are narrow or nonexistent in many spots, and the road can get very curvy with little visibility ahead. Not many bikers ride on this road.
