Cedar Breaks Scenic Byway (U-148)
Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities

The byway itself is narrow, not advisable for bicyclists or pedestrians, but there are several trails in Cedar Breaks.

Cedar Breaks National Monument maintains several high country trails. The circular 2-mile Alpine Pond Trail leads to a forest glade and pond. The 2-mile Ramparts Trail along the plateau rim passes a stand of ancient bristlecone pine and ends overlooking the Cedar Breaks amphitheater. A trail guide is available at the trailhead or the visitor center. Pets are not permitted on the trails. Experienced hikers may venture Rattlesnake Creek Trail, just north of the park, but should first talk to a ranger about the hazards of the trek.
