Scenic Byway 143 - Utah's Patchwork Parkway
Parowan Gap, UT

The petroglyphs etched into rocks scattered throughout this gap were inscribed centuries ago by Fremont and Paiute Indian tribes who inhabited the area. Current research indicates that several glyphs were used to forecast the seasons of the year by sunrise and sunset.
