Scenic Byway 143 - Utah's Patchwork Parkway
Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities
Bicycle traffic is allowed along the route, although shoulder widths are narrow. Thousands of bicyclists use the route annually, both in organized groups and individually. Brian Head Town has developed a separated bike path which parallels the route through the community.
Mountainous terrain and limited sight distances discourage pedestrian use of the road, but adjacent trail heads provide access to thousands of acres of lands ranging from designated wilderness areas to handicapped-accessible pullouts and overlooks.
