Take a walk and find yourself in other places. Step into the past and meet kings and pharaohs. Play in a tropical island paradise. All this and more is contained within a 4.5-mile strip.

Day 1

  • Start: "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas"

    Find a parking place near the welcome sign and begin your journey.

  • Stop 1: The Little Church of the West

    From previous stop: 10 minutes / 1.11 mi (1.8 km)
    Directions:

    Go north from the Welcome sign for 1.11 miles, until you see the church on your right.
    Suggested time at this stop: 15 minutes

    Take a look at the site of many celebrity weddings. The chapel still hosts many beautiful and unusual weddings.

  • Stop 2: Mandalay Bay

    From previous stop: 8 minutes / 0.8 mi (1.3 km)
    Directions:

    Go north on Las Vegas Blvd for 0.8 miles, until you see Mandalay Bay on your left. Cross the street to enter the complex.
    Suggested time at this stop: 1 hour 30 minutes

    Explore the tropical themed hotel, including a fun sand and surf beach.

  • Stop 3: Luxor

    From previous stop: 3 minutes / 0.2 mi (0.3 km)
    Directions:

    Go north from Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort. Cross Mandalay Bay Dr. and continue north to the Luxor.
    Suggested time at this stop: 1 hour 40 minutes

    See the great black glass pyramid at the Luxor. If you want to save energy for later you can hop on the free tram that takes you right to the front doors of Luxor. Don't miss the King Tut's Tomb--an exact replica of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh's tomb. A rotating IMAX film experience is also a popular attraction here. Walk through one of the largest atriums in the world on your way to your next adventure.

  • Stop 4: Excalibur

    From previous stop: 10 minutes / 1.03 mi (1.6 km)
    Directions:

    Follow S. Las Vegas Blvd north for 1.03 miles. The Excalibur will be on the left side of the road.
    Suggested time at this stop: 2 hours

    You can take the tram to the next stop. This is the place for an exciting dinner and show. The majestic castle offers adventure at its Fantasy Faire Midway--an arena of games appropriate for everyone in the family.

  • Stop 5: New York-New York

    From previous stop: 8 minutes / 0.8 mi (1.3 km)
    Directions:

    Go north from Excalibur on the unnamed road. Follow it past Excalibur Way. The road will cross Hwy 593. Continue on north on New York Blvd, until you come to the New York-New York complex.
    Suggested time at this stop: 1 hour

    Cross the street into a '30s and '40s inspired New York City. Shop in Park Avenue, ride the fast paced Manhattan roller coaster, and eat in Greenwich Village.

  • Stop 6: Monte Carlo

    From previous stop: 10 minutes / 1 mi (1.6 km)
    Directions:

    Follow New York Blvd north and around back to Las Vegas Blvd. Follow it north to Rue de Monte Carlo and turn left onto this road. Follow it to the entrance of the Monte Carlo.
    Suggested time at this stop: 1 hour

    Step into a piece of Europe on the Street of Dreams. Get a taste of France in the cobblestone-shopping promenade.

  • Stop 7: Bellagio

    From previous stop: 15 minutes / 1.6 mi (2.6 km)
    Directions:

    Go north on Las Vegas Blvd for 1.6 miles. The Bellagio will be on your left. Follow Bellagio Dr. to the entrance.
    Suggested time at this stop: 1 hour 30 minutes

    Check out the art gallery here--it houses some of the most fantastic pieces ever. Also, stick around for the "dancing waters" set to a wide range of music.

  • Stop 8: Paris

    From previous stop: 4 minutes / 0.3 mi (0.5 km)
    Directions:

    From Bellagio Dr. cross Las Vegas Blvd and follow Paris Dr. east to the Paris Resort and Casino.
    Suggested time at this stop: 1 hour

    While at Paris, tour the Eiffel Tower, which is an exact half scale replica, and a 2/3 scale replica of L'Arc de Triomphe. Stroll down Paris' cobbled streets for a view of an authentic Parisian marketplace.

  • Stop 9: MGM Grand

    From previous stop: 12 minutes / 1.3 mi (2.1 km)
    Directions:

    Follow Las Vegas Blvd south to Hwy 593. Turn left to follow the highway until it becomes Tropicana Ave. Follow the exit road as it curves up to the entrance of the MGM Grand.
    Suggested time at this stop: 2 hours

    Wander the theme park, showrooms, an arena, and a shopping area. Meet lions face to face at the lion habitat. The theaters offer boxing matches and shows by the most famous singers of our time.

  • Stop 10: Tropicana

    From previous stop: 2 minutes / 0.12 mi (0.2 km)
    Directions:

    Follow Island Way south across Tropicana Ave and to the Tropicana.
    Suggested time at this stop: 1 hour

    Visit the spa, pool, shopping center, or arcade. Later you can see magic shows and concerts.

  • End: Glass Pool Inn

    From previous stop: 13 minutes / 5 mi (8.0 km)
    Directions:

    Go north on Island Way and turn left onto Tropicana Ave. Follow this road west until it becomes NV 593. Turn right onto Las Vegas Blvd and follow it north for 4.7 miles.

    You might want to get your car to drive to the Inn as you will be tired by now. The Glass Pool Inn has a unique pool that has been shown in several movies. Take a dip in an above-ground pool with glass portholes and wave to your friends.
