Thousand Springs Scenic Byway
Visitor Services

At Shoshone Falls, guided boat tours take visitors to this and many springs of the area. Passengers can get close enough to feel the spray in their faces. Also, there is an interpretive area near the steel footbridge in Malad Gorge that provides in-depth information on the history and geology of the area.

Special Considerations

US 30 and Idaho 50 are two-lane roads with some passing lanes.

Best Time to Drive

Year-round; the Hagerman Valley is known for its very mild winters. The best time to see Shoshone Falls and Twin Falls is in early spring.
