Bernard DeVoto Memorial Grove (ID)
Twelve miles from the Montana border is the old-growth cedar grove dedicated to American author and historian Bernard DeVoto, whose works include a compilation of the journals of Lewis and Clark.

A Nez Perce fishing village occupied for over 4,000 years and the place where the Lewis and Clark Expedition built dugout canoes in fall 1805 for their downriver journey to the Pacific.

General O.O. Howard fought the non-treaty Nez Perce during the 1877 War near this site, now a component of Nez Perce National Historical Park, at milepost 21.2 Idaho Highway 13 south of Kooskia.

Clearwater National Forest (ID)
This forest covers 1.8 million acres from the jagged peaks of the Bitterroot Mountains in the east to the river canyons and the rolling hills of the Palouse Prairie in the west.

Dworshak National Fish Hatchery (ID)
Your hunt for steelhead and rainbow trout, along with spring chinook salmon, will end here.
Location: Located at the confluence of the North Fork and mainstem Clearwater River, 3 miles west of Orofino, Idaho.

An exhibit of a Tolo Lake mammoth is at the park; visitor information on Nez Perce National Historical Park sites at Tolo Lake, White Bird Battlefield, and Weis Rockshelter in vicinity.

Eimers Park Mammoth Exhibit (ID)
Grangeville's mammoth replica is housed at Eimers Park.

The site interprets early settlement and gold rush history, and offers motorists access to the adjoining Gold Rush Historic Byway culminating on Idaho Highway 11 at Headquarters.

This geologic feature plays a major role in the creation story of the Nez Perce people; interpretive panels, walking trails, picnic facilities, restrooms, and audio exhibits.

An outdoor interpretive exhibit at the junction of US Highway 12 and Idaho Highway 13 at the Kooskia bridge. Near this site was a major crossing for loggers and miners accessing the South Fork drainage and Gospel Hump Wilderness.
