Pend Oreille Scenic Byway

This byway is one segment of a national cross-country bicycle tour promoted by Adventure Cycling of Missoula, Montana. Paved shoulders along the highway are narrow. This byway does see frequent bicycle users, both local and visiting bikers. The narrow shoulders do not promote a great deal of pedestrian traffic, except along the byway in Hope and East Hope where shoulders are noticeably wider.
