Special Considerations

The visitor center is open year-round, and visitors are encouraged to stop by. Please be aware the The Pueblo of Jemez has a closed village policy and requests that visitors not wander around the village. The reasons for this are two-fold. There are not sufficient visitor services available in the village, and the residents would like the privacy. The village opens to the public only on Feast Days; however, these days are not publicized. Recreation areas and arts and craft shows are open during certain times. Contact the visitor center for exact dates.
