White Pass Scenic Byway
Riffe Lake, WA

Riffe Lake is a fisherman's delight. With landlocked Coho, catfish, bass, perch, rainbow, and the occasional German Brown, fishermen are bound to catch something with scales. Riffe Lake is a manmade reservoir with almost 53 miles of shoreline. Not only will the fish be jumping, but visitors are also likely to be graced with a view of deer and elk. Overhead the wind may catch the wings of a Bald Eagle, a Red-Tailed Hawk, or a hang glider above Dog Mountain. There is nothing like watching the reflection of the sun as it peeks over the Cascades on a lake rippled only with the movement of numerous fish. Fishing from a boat or the shore brings equally good results.
