Jungle Gardens and Bird City, LA

The Jungle Gardens and Bird City is a 200 acre garden containing, in season, a variety of azaleas, camellias, and bamboo. Wildlife includes alligators, deer, nutria, raccoons, and black bears, a well as thousands of snowy egrets that return each spring to "Bird City," the island's bird sanctuary founded by naturalist E.A. McIlhenny.
