The Angola Museum showcases the history of Louisiana's State Penitentiary, the nation's largest maximum-security facility.
Location: Just outside of the Louisiana State Penitentiary at the end of LA 66 in Angola.

Originally built in 1830, Greenwood Plantation thrived as a producer of cotton and then sugarcane in the antebellum South. Destroyed by lightning in 1960, the plantation has since been beautifully restored. Now open for tours of the grounds and building, the plantation also operates a bed and breakfast for overnight stays.
Location: Three miles west of LA 66 on Highland Road.

Tunica Hills State Wildlife Management Area (LA)
The Tunica Hills State Wildlife Management Area has an abundance of local wildlife and a variety of recreational possibilities, such as birdwatching, seasonal hunting and trapping, hiking and biking, photography and sightseeing.
Location: The Angola Tract is 14.3 miles west on LA Hwy 66 from LA Hwy 61, and the South Tract is another 3 miles west on LA Hwy 66.
